Terms and Conditions
Last updated: October 6, 2026
1. Accepting these terms
By creating an account or using Duecat, you accept these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
2. What Duecat is
Duecat is an app for organizing your personal finances month by month: it helps you see what you owe, what you have already paid, and what is still pending. Duecat is not a bank, a financial institution, or a financial, legal, or tax advisor. The information the app shows is based exclusively on the data you enter; we do not verify its accuracy and we are not responsible for financial decisions you make based on it.
3. Your account
- You are responsible for keeping your password confidential and for all activity that happens on your account.
- You need to give us accurate information when you sign up (name, email).
- If you sign in with Google or Apple, you also need to comply with that platform's terms.
4. Membership and subscriptions
- Free trial. Every new account gets 7 days of full access, no card required.
- Subscription. After the trial, you need to subscribe to the monthly or annual plan to keep using Duecat. There is no free plan. The price and period of each plan are shown in the app and in the App Store before you confirm the purchase, and may vary by country.
- Automatic renewal. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period (monthly or annual, depending on the plan you choose) at the same price, unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. The renewal charge is made within 24 hours before the end of the period.
- Payment. Purchases and charges are processed by Apple through your Apple account. We do not receive or store your payment details.
- Cancellation. You can cancel at any time from your Apple account settings (Settings > your name > Subscriptions), or from the "Manage subscription" option in the app. Canceling prevents future renewals, and you keep access until the end of the period you already paid for. Deleting your Duecat account does not cancel the subscription.
- Refunds. Refunds are handled by Apple under its own policies; you request them from Apple, not from Duecat.
- Restore purchases. If you already subscribed with your Apple account, you can regain access on another device with "Restore purchases".
- Expiration. If your trial or subscription expires, the app is locked until you subscribe again, but we do not delete your data.
- Price changes. If we change the price of a subscription, we will notify you according to Apple's rules and, where applicable, you can accept the new price or cancel before it takes effect.
5. Acceptable use
You may not:
- Use Duecat for illegal activities.
- Attempt to access other people's accounts or our infrastructure without authorization.
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the app's source code, except where the law expressly allows it.
- Use the app in a way that interferes with its normal operation for other users.
6. Your content
The financial data you enter (expenses, income, categories, lists) and your profile photo are yours. You grant us the permission needed to store and process it solely to provide you the service: showing it back to you and syncing it across your devices.
7. Service availability
Duecat is under active development. We may add, change, or remove features, and we may discontinue the service at some point. We will try to give you advance notice of significant changes, but we cannot guarantee it in every case.
8. Closing your account
You can stop using Duecat whenever you want. You can delete your account and all your data directly from the app (or contact us at soporte@duecat.app). Deleting your account does not cancel your subscription: that is done from your Apple account settings, as explained in section 4. We may also suspend or close accounts that violate these terms.
9. Intellectual property
The Duecat name, its logo, and the app's design are the property of its developer. You may not use them without permission.
10. No warranties
Duecat is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee the app is error-free or available without interruption.
11. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of Duecat, including data loss or financial decisions made based on the app's information.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. If the change is significant, we will let you know inside the app. If you keep using Duecat after a change, that means you accept it.
